School data may not be present in this application. They may not have submitted their Immunization Data Report or they did not have any children in that age group for the year.

Coverage: the percentage of kids fully immunized against a specific vaccine preventable disease. For example: In a kindergarten class of 10 - 8 kids are fully immunized having 2 doses of MMR, 1 has a personal belief exemption, and 1 has no documentation of exemption or immunization record. Here the coverage is 80% because 8 out of 10 students are fully immunized.

Compliance: the percentage of kids that have an immunization record or documentation of exemption. Per Arizona Revised Statutes §15-872, a pupil shall not be allowed to attend school without submitting documentary proof of immunizations or exemption from immunizations. On enrollment, the school administrator shall suspend that pupil if the administrator does not have documentary proof and the pupil is not exempted from immunization. Using the previous example again- in a kindergarten class of 10 - 8 kids are fully immunized having 2 doses of MMR, 1 has a personal belief exemption, and 1 has no documentation of exemption or immunization record. Here the compliance is 90% because 9 out of 10 students have documentation of immunization or valid exemption.

Note that exemption rates for individual vaccines will differ from that of the total exemption rates for several reasons. For example, a child may exempt from DTaP only and be fully immunized otherwise. Because of this the exemption total may be higher than looking at individual immunizations.
